Neutral winter decor that feels Scandinavian inspired. Using whites, wood tones, evergreen trees and candles to cozy up the space after the holidays!
Winter Decor that isn’t Christmas
Every year, after the Christmas decor gets put away, the house feels a little empty and boring. It’s too early to decorate for Valentine’s day and yet I still want to have something pretty and cozy to brighten those long dark winter days. The solution? I decorate my home using winter decor.
Keeping things very neutral with wood tones and faux evergreen trees, I remove the reds from Christmas and any sparkly glitter items. Anything with bows or resembles ornaments are taken away too.
Decor items that feel invoke the cozy feeling of winter such as candles, fur throw pillows, warm throw blankets, are essential. Wood corbels, framed art with botanical prints help keep the space feeling soft and neutral.
The video below shows how I decorated this space using winter decor in action.

Brighten and Cozy the room
The living room is inviting and feels cozy with bright whites, furry throw pillows, candles and lots of bare evergreen trees for winter decor.
Wood candlestick holders are repeated and wood boxes and containers add warmth for this winter decor.
Framed art, vintage books, wood corbels, ceramic vases, mistletoe wreath and brass candlestick holders are the perfect neutral background to the winter decor pieces of evergreen sprigs and trees.
Cozy and inviting tassel throw blanket, throw pillows and a sweet pup make you want to crawl up and read a book.
This darling gnome pom pom wreath I found at TJ Maxx, gives added texture and softness to the wall. The colors are neutral that they don’t scream Christmas.
Clean and simple brassy lanterns, vintage books and green plants keep this area fresh and clean feeling.
Green stackable luggage decor, miniature light up houses, candles, ceramic crock and evergreen trees make a cozy winter decor scene on this mantle shelf.
