Bedroom Furnishing Estimates

Each home is unique in how many bedrooms it has. There are also variables such as bed quantities needed and the sizes of beds from king to twin. As you prepare to design and furnish your bedrooms to be the most comfortable place to rest, it’s good to know how much to expect to spend.

You can achieve a beautiful design for even less if you’re savvy with thrifting. But not everyone has the desire, ability or time to furnish their home completely by thrifting. (I usually advise against buying used mattresses because of the risk of pests and stains.)

The following are investment estimates for furnishing/styling the primary bedroom with a king sized bed. Furnishing a child’s bedroom with a twin bed will vary from these estimates.

The prices listed are average baseline price points, but they can always be priced higher in each category. Note this does not include any designer’s fees.

Showroom & custom items are sourced through the trade with your designer. These manufacturers are not open to the public to purchase on your own. Your designer becomes your retail store, so to speak. Purchasing with your designer allows you access to high quality ready ship or custom made furnishings.

You will notice that these showroom/custom prices are often not much different from high end retail and the quality usually surpasses that of regular retail. Something to think about as you plan and make investment purchases for your home, especially for items like a bed. You can also have beautiful and unique custom bedding and draperies made with designer fabric.
